A small ceiling leak in the dining room brought us out to this home. We inspected the 2nd floor bathroom and bedroom above it — thoroughly — to make sure nothing above was affected.
It wasn't.
We told the homeowner the honest truth: this is not claim worthy. Filing would cost him more in premium increases than the job was worth. We gave him a fair out-of-pocket price, told him to take his time, and headed out.
We hadn't even left the neighborhood when his call came through.
"Come back. Let's do it."
No pressure. No scare tactics. No inflated scope. Just an honest inspection, a fair price, and a homeowner who recognized integrity when he saw it.
That call before we even turned the corner? That's the kind of trust you can't manufacture. You earn it by doing the right thing — every time, even when it means a smaller job.
We came back. We did the work. He was happy.
That's the Unified standard.
