Unified Restoration was born out of a vision shared by two lifelong friends who together bring over 40 years of experience in the restoration industry.
Having worked for various companies, we saw firsthand the challenges homeowners face when dealing with water, fire, or mold damage. We recognized a clear need for a restoration company that genuinely puts people first — and we knew we could do better. That’s why we started Unified Restoration, built on a foundation of honesty, trust, and old-fashioned hard work.

Turning a Vision into Reality: The Journey Behind Unified Restoration
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of building a restoration company that not only provides exceptional service but also restores trust in the process. Here’s a bit of my backstory.
In the early 2000s, I was working long hours at a gas station — 12-hour shifts, six days a week. One day a Project Manager, Brandon Anderson, from a company that regularly fueled up at the station approached me. He said they noticed how hard I worked and asked if I’d be interested in applying for a Water Damage Technician position. I had no idea what that job entailed — but I decided to take a chance.
I interviewed with Department Manager Chris Ochoa, who took a chance on me even though I had no experience. That was early 2004. I walked in with zero expectations but a strong desire to learn. I was mentored by Brad, a Lead Technician who showed me the ropes — within weeks I had my own truck and was managing jobs on my own. I loved it because every day brought new challenges.
After a few years I was promoted to Project Manager, guiding homeowners and adjusters through the restoration process and building expertise in Xactimate. I then transitioned to running a hospital account — thanks to the encouragement of Rebecca Peruch, who saw potential in me even when I doubted myself. Working at the hospital solidified the importance of doing the job right, every time — a lesson I carry with me to this day.
I spent ten years at that company, growing from Water Damage Technician to hospital Project Manager. When that chapter ended I briefly worked elsewhere, which pushed me to start my own Environmental Testing company. The business was a success, but I never lost my love for restoration.
Today I’m incredibly proud to have launched Unified Restoration with my partner Kelcey Steinmetz. Our mission is clear — to make restoration better for everyone involved and to bring peace of mind to homeowners, adjusters, and insurance companies alike. Restoring with Excellence, Integrity & Trust.
